CCIS 2019 will be held at:
Orchard Road (ION to Wisma Atria)
from 16-23 Dec 2019
The Central @ Clarke Quay
from 16-24 Dec 2019.
This year's theme is "The Hope of Christmas" and our community focus will feature partnering organisations from the Fostering sector! Come join in the celebrations with us this Christmas!
Christmas is the Season of Giving - not just of Christmas gifts, but of Love, hope and Joy. That, is the real Gift of Jesus Christ during the First Christmas 2,000 years ago. Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS) aims to bring back the true Christmas message of peace and love into an otherwise heavily commercialized festive occasion. For that, we have been holding large-scale celebration events along Orchard Road every year since 2004 in the week leading up to Christmas Day.
This annual event has become a hallmark at Orchard Road, rallying the Christian community in Singapore to reach out and bless society with the message and acts of love. Together with both fellow Christians and community participants from Singapore and other parts of the world, CCIS brings to the public a multimedia celebration of stage and street performances, interactive activities, caroling, mass choirs, and much more!
Community partners are an integral part of the CCIS celebrations. Each year, we identify a selected specialty of the social service sector and partner with VWOs and charities from that area of specialisation during CCIS to raise awareness for the needs of less privileged members of society and help the public understand where help and hope can be readily found.
This year, our community partners are from the Fostering specialty of the Social Service sector - Boys' Town, Epworth Community Services, Muhammadiyah Association, PPIS Oasis, and The Salvation Army. Do come by to visit them at CCIS 2019 (Orchard Road) at the Fostering Booth and find out how you can play a meaningful part in enabling a child in need to enjoy a safe, stable and edifying journey of growing up!
CCIS is for everyone regardless of race, language or religion, because hope is for everyone! Come on down and immerse yourselves in the Joy and Hope of Christmas!
